Pétanque was originally invented in the South of France, where it has become a local institution, this bowling game has become equally popular with tourists. The game, which requires two teams and is played up to a score of thirteen points, is played outdoors on a sandy or earth surface. Each team consists of two to three players, each of whom has three steel 'boules'. Each player tosses or rolls their 'boule' so that it ends up as near as possible to the 'cochonnet' (a small wooden ball thrown from a distance of 6 to 10 metres), at the same time trying to hit the other teams 'boules' so as to scatter them. Players take turns, and whoever ends up closet to the 'cochonnet' when all balls are played, wins.

At Les Canebières in the summer months there are several Concours de Pétanque played. On 7th August 2008 this tournament was played with 4 other visiting domaines.

There are 2 pools available on the domaine. The 'big' swimming pool is open from the 15th June until the 15th September. The 'small pool' is open for the months of July and August. Both pools are supervised by fully qualified Maitre Nageurs and are open from 1000 - 1900 hrs. In the main holiday season the pools may stay open until 2000 hrs. There is also a small refreshment area at the big pool, which opens for the months of July and August. It sells a variety of cold drinks, ice creams, crepes and beignet. Table Tennis can be played at both pools, and proves to be very popular with the youngsters. Swimming lessons are available from the Maitre Naguer and you can also do aquarobics in the mornings.

The Domaine has 3 tennis courts that are available all year round. The first tennis court is found near the small swimming pool on avenue A. Tennis 2 and Tennis 3 can be found on the other side of the domaine off Avenue L. This can be found by the Play area on Avenue B. During the main holiday season, July and August, the domaine runs a booking rule for the use of the courts. You are able to book a session at the main gate.

Lou Paradou is the local 'night club' on the Domaine.

It is open from the 1st July until the last weekend in August. It sells drinks and food, and has a dance floor and present day music. There are various different Soirees that are done throughout the 2 months that it is open. It is suitable for all the family and many parents take there children down for the entertainment..Some of the soiree's are:-

The soirees are advertised at the pools and the shops and are duplicated in both months and on similar dates..The soirees finish around 11 pm and the club closes around 2 am, or when the last person leaves the club.
